Back when I started this I figured I either had to show some rules or there would not be any..... ::)

Rules and regulations Read this

So, what is the point of this topic exactly?

I think the rules in these forums are good as they are, as we just follow normal .co.nr policy here, and I moderate myself here.

Barry and Mark,

I would like to follow up on my visit and phone calls with you last June as I have wall thickness numbers and bore measurements for both the 427 and 428 blocks. Have called/left a voicemail. Ask to let me know when a good time would be. Know are just back from the PRI show. I want to get your advice on parts for each engine. Will tell you what I intend to do with these engines (street) and a couple of concerns I have.

Thanks,

Ed

Barry,

I could have listened to you and Marc for the rest of the day. As it turned out, weather stopped me from getting home for a day. You are right, driving above the speed limit in Michigan is a low risk deal :) I'll get some info to you later this week.

Thanks again,

Ed

Thanks for stopping by.
I'm glad Marc was there and could spend some time with you.  I was way more tangled up than I expected - that Mustang did NOT want to behave at all in the 90 odd degrees and 80% humidity...

Barry,

Thanks for taking the time to meet with me this past Tuesday. Please thank Mark also. I really enjoyed seeing your shop and listening to you both. I'll get the bore sonic test measurements on the 427 and 428 we talked about and run them by you, then start buying parts.

I will be around - it might be kinda hectic since I have a car coming in around 1 for carb work.  We might be talking and working at the same time.  We are not a bad run from the airport - we're on Pioneer Drive just off of Martin Road in Commerce Township.  If you look at a map its as if you extend I-275 straight north through M-5.  Under an hour to the gate (I drive really fast - you might want more time....   ;D )

Hi Barry,

Thanks for the reply below. Know you are busy, are you available tomorrow? I have a business trip to Warren and am finished with the last meeting tomorrow afternoon around 1:30. I have to be at the airport by 4:30. Depending on your proximity to the airport (and from Warren, 11 Mile), I thought I would stop by and discuss my intent with the engines and get your feedback and recommendations. Also, I reached Mark one day and he offered some great advice. If none of this is workable, I would still like to speak with you before I start buying.

Kinda obvious - but we can supply pretty much anything you might need.
Just give me a shopping list of your desires and targets and I will prep a quote
Or you can just go shopping here first ....  ;)

Seeking sources for new FE (427 and 428) parts
« Reply #2 on: June 14, 2013, 12:31:25 PM »
Hi,

I am seeking components to build a 427 and a 428. Looking for the full range to build up from the bare block level: rotating assemblies, cams/kits, heads/valves, intake manifolds(2x4-427, 1x4-428), pans, pumps, valve covers, flywheels, dampers, clutches and smaller parts . These engines will be driven on the street, my intent is to draw out horsepower similar to what is portrayed on many of the FE related web sites.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Ed

This section is for buying and selling car stuff.  Not for other odds and ends.  I don't really intend on filtering this much, but try not to be silly about things - a general location, a price, decent photos, and an honest description goes a long ways.  This is not the place for cursing, arguing, belligerance and name calling - that's what the "general section" is for.
