I would recommend something with a modest port volume - go too large in cross section and you'll kill the low end and midrange torque & throttle response.  I would suggest a pair of mine - I am out of stock right now but will get more coming a few weeks down the road.  Otherwise a pair of lightly modified Edelbrocks will work well.  That tri-power is a bit of a bugger - - they look great but perform pretty soft.  If you can squeeze any sort of open spacer under the carbs - even a little one - it helps a ton.  Opening up the arb holes and adding larger carbs helps too...

The XE lobes made really good torque but they can be pretty noisy and fall off pretty hard after 5500 - not an issue in the big bird...

I;ve got a '68 428 block .040 over  4.25 stroke eagle crank 6.7 BBC h-beams and KB pistons, have OEM T-bird 6v intake and was looking at a comp XE274H cam any suggestions on heads. Its going in my '63 bird shes heavy at 4200lbs need more power cap'n
